The theme of our discussions is how to be more successful in challenging times. Overall, our focus will be on new and different approaches to conducting business as well as how you can achieve positive results that impact your bottom line, motivate your employees and make customers want to do business with you. This may require you to embrace the unconventional or non-traditional ways of doing business. So, keep an open mind and think of change as being good.
With that said, because your company has been successful in the past does not guarantee continued success. We have found that companies holding on to fond memories of their past success and constantly emulating them as they address the future are in trouble. Successful companies appreciate those fond memories, but at the same time, look for ways to change as a springboard for continuous improvement.
Stability does not come from not changing, it comes from continually reassessing what works and what doesn’t work so well anymore and then discarding what doesn’t work or can be improved upon. I’ll be sharing many “Best Practices” with you in my blog postings, so you can learn in the shortest period of time and so you learn the easy way rather than the hard way.
